Details
We reserved Camp Smokey which is right by Alturas Lake in the Stanley Basin, Idaho for the dates of June 14, 15 and 16th of 2013.
There is a nice medium size lodge with good kitchen and assemble room furnished with tables and chairs.
There are 10 cabins with a total of 40 bunk beds to sleep about 88 but no bedding or mattresses. PLEASE bring your own air mattresses and bedding!!! There is room to set up additional tents and 4 RV sites (no hook ups) which would give the camp a capacity of 130 people.
Please let me know how many in your family are planning on attending (jeffnjen2@msn.com) so that we can make assignments for the cabins.
There is a new building for bathroom and showers that is handicapped assessable.
Amphitheater, volleyball, basketball, hiking trails to mountain lakes and Alturas Lake is nearby for boating, swimming and fishing (Red Fish Lake is a short drive, but the water is a lot warmer). Salmon River is close for float trips in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area.
